Cura GapCo MRI

Charges above the Medical Scheme tariff (100% scheme tariff up to 500%) for associated services in-hospital PLUS charges in the form of a co-payment or deductible applied for in-hospital admission PLUS charges for major medical out-patient treatment limited to specialized diagnostic radiology – MRI and CT scans

  1. The maximum benefit payable in terms of this policy shall be R 157 000 per insured per annum.
  2. Benefits for co-payments or deductibles are limited to R 50 000 per family per annum.

Cura GapCo SUB

Charges above the Medical Scheme tariff (100% scheme tariff up to 500%) for associated services in-hospital PLUS charges in the form of a co-payment or deductible applied for in-hospital admission including charges for major medical out-patient treatment limited to specialized diagnostic radiology - MRI and CT scans. Charges above any sub-limitation imposed by the Scheme for in-hospital admissions.

  1. The maximum benefit payable in terms of this policy shall be R 157 000 per insured per annum.
  2. Benefits for co-payments or deductibles are limited to R 100 000 per family per annum.
  3. Benefits for charges above any sub-limitation are limited to R15 000 per family per annum.

Cura GapCo Sub CA Plus

Comprehensive cover all in one policy, which most clients need due to the different shortfalls, co-payments and sub-limits applicable to their medical scheme benefit options, including Casualty benefits and Premium waivers.

The GapCo Sub CA Plus will prevent exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses due to extended hospital admission often resulting in depletion of available benefits such as radiology, pathology and prosthesis.

Cura Cancer Cover

This policy will only be applicable to Members of a registered Medical Scheme and will be activated when the Insured Member is positively diagnosed with cancer which manifested itself during the period of cover.

R100 000 once-off on diagnosis of cancer

Oncology Treatment -R 157 000

Counseling -R 3 000 (R1000 Excess)

Exclusions: Excludes any skin cancer. Must be diagnosed whilst on cover and alive.

Cura Life & Health

The benefits covered under the Life and Health Plan are:

  1. Emergency transport
  2. A stated amount per day in hospital OR
  3. A fixed amount for certain conditions / procedures
  4. A stated benefit within the theatre when under Anaesthesia
  5. A funeral benefit for the family.

Standard Option is age 65 last birthday.
